Located Tarhunah in the north-west of Libya on the eastern outskirts of the hills of the mountain west and who knows Mount Tarhunah rate it bordered misilatah from the north-east and Gharyan from the southwest and Bani Walid from the south and the south and east of Tripoli in the north and is Tarhunah of the largest producers of wheat, barley and olives in western Libya

Historically received evidences a very important archaeological dating back to prehistoric times and rock
carvings in "Abyaar." As well as the inscriptions on the rocky hill near Ain Crcharh called "sir strange"
